MORGAN KEMPSTER, PT, DPT, CLT

Board Member

Dr. Morgan Kempster is a dedicated Physical Therapist at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital with a specialization in acute care. Beginning his career as a running coach for middle and high schoolers, he developed an interest in helping those with injuries and other impairments. With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Kempster brings a holistic, interdisciplinary approach to patient wellness along with a passion for health education and advocacy.


Throughout his career, Dr. Kempster has demonstrated a strong commitment to both clinical excellence and compassionate care. He has worked extensively with oncology populations and those navigating complex medical journeys. In addition to clinical care, Dr. Kempster has served on hospital ethics and palliative rehabilitation committees, contributing to sensitive policy discussions that impact patient dignity and quality of life. He is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and a frequent instructor and mentor to physical therapy students and healthcare professionals, emphasizing empathy, resilience, and interprofessional collaboration.


Dr. Kempster holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the College of William and Mary. He is currently pursuing a Master of Healthcare Administration at George Washington University, furthering his commitment to impactful leadership in healthcare systems.


Following several years of supporting the Mattie Miracle Cancer Foundation through the annual walk, Morgan is honored to join the Board of the Foundation and support this community.
